Georg Hansson, famous for the 3 litre P5 Drophead that he commissioned
from Panelcraft, Battersea. This was his next car. Unique car with

P5B Saloon, Admiralty Blue - Buckskin Leather.
78,000 miles, interesting History, ex Lord Provost of Kircaldy official
car. It was used to chauffeur royalty etc. Needs complete restoration,
inner sills and stiffener sills have been replaced, all parts included
in sale for completion, including new exhaust system. Very good runner
before restoration commenced but it has been off the road and stored

1972
Rover P5b saloon in burnt gray (K reg.).
MoT until 6 July 2009. Road fund licence fee exempt. SD1 engine fitted
(RPI Engineering). (Spare P5b engine included) Retained P5b timing
cover for oil pump (high capacity) and distributor. Cover modified
to neoprene crankshaft seal. Electronic ignition. Facet solid state
fuel pump. Professionally refurbished Borg Warner 35 gearbox and torque
convertor fitted. Other professionally refurbished (exchange) items
fitted are: Power steering box, power steering pump, Brake callipers.
New rear springs c/w new bushes fitted (J.R. Wadhams). All track rod
ends replaced with new.
Colour coded (beige) inertia seat belts fitted (front and rear). Halogen
headlights. Extra soundproofing fitted throughout the car. New chrome
rear bumper and over-riders fitted. Many more sundry items replaced
(brake hoses, wheel cylinders, disc pads and shoes, various wiring).
Heavy duty (90amp) battery fitted. Relays fitted into lighting circuits.
Tailor made car mats. Five nearly new 205 x 15 radials. Cavities Waxoyled.
Inclusive of handbook, P5 workshop manual (and P5b supplement) and
parts manual. Also SD1 workshop manual for engine info. In all a minimum
of £5000 has been spent in the last 18 months.
This car runs very smoothly and the engine runs cool (82ºC) at
all times. £5250 ono (Insurance agreed valuation of £6500).
